Guys,

Before we start having a bunch of emails from many of you giving different links for the pics, please read suggestions below –

a)      Documents can be uploaded in www.groups.yahoo.com/iimb89 site itself under the general folder call files. I have created a Bees Saal Baad folder where - I have just put up Subra's mangnum opus.  Guys freak out on docs here.

b)      Pictures can also be uploaded in the Photos Area under the Album "Bees Saal Saad". I have created a blank Album for you guys to populate. Please be selective and do some filtering and commenting so that the viewing of the snaps can be fun.

c)       If you are enthusiastic about your own method of doing it (too lazy to pick and chose) and are using Picaso or Snapfish or any of these gizmos – please visit the www.groups.yahoo.com/iimb89 and update the links in the "Links" tab.  I have just added Vedula's link and link to Desperation Blog into the Links colum.

Alok,

If you have a better method to suggest please let us know ………

Regards …… Luxie.

Dear Alumnus,

I am delighted to share with you the good news about the significant rankings achieved by your alma mater in two recent international surveys.

In November 2008, Eduniversal , a unit of French Consulting firm SMBG , ranked IIMB as the top B-school in South Asia/Central Asia/Middle East and among the top 27 B-schools worldwide. The selection endorsed IIMB's international reputation and influence defined as "the capacity of a business school to make a student valuable – and thus to improve their employability – in domestic and international spheres." Notably, the Deans of the 1000 Best Business Schools from 153 countries elected IIMB among the Best Business Schools in the Central Asia zone, with a recommendation rate of 398 per thousand, followed by IIM-A (379) and IIM-C (321), classified under "internationally known".

More recently, in April 2009, IIM Bangalore has been ranked among the top ten in the Asia-Pacific region in the QS Global Top Business Schools 2009: The Employer's Choice published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). IIMB is the only Indian management school to rank amongst the top ten, which includes business schools in Australia, Singapore, China and Hong Kong. Significantly, IIMB at sixth place has improved on its ranking from the ninth place it received in the previous 2007-08 report. The survey also states that the average GMAT score of students enrolled in the Post-Graduate Programme in Management at IIMB is 780, which is the highest in the entire Asia-Pacific region – testimony to the talent and caliber of students at IIMB, and why IIMB continues to be a preferred recruitment destination for global positions.

I am sure that we are now poised to achieve greater heights. With help from all of you in the IIMB community, we can, and we are, making significant strides in achieving academic excellence. From this academic year, we will increase our student intake, start new programmes, invest in infrastructure, invite best-in-class faculty and also bring in diverse set of international programs within the curriculum . We want all our alumni to stay engaged and join us in this wonderful chapter of IIMB that we all will be proud of in years to come.
